![]() The introduction of the first Equinox Hotel right in Hudson Yards is a true culmination of this brand promise that will redefine travel as the world knows it. The motto, “It’s not fitness, it’s life” has grounded Equinox – and fueled a cultural movement – for more than 25 years. There is so much to do both within the property and in the surrounding area, a brand new bustling neighborhood in Manhattan with ample retail and restaurant options. While this is a city hotel, it could truly be considered a destination in itself…a literal adult playground. history, is helping once again shift the city’s epicenter of new and hot.īelow is her report with additional information about the suites. Part of the $25 billion development on Manhattan’s West Side, the most expensive real estate project in U.S. If you value your workouts though and don't mind a minimalist esthetic, this might fit your style.Recently SmartFlyer travel advisor Amanda Poses stayed at the new Equinox Hotels Hudson Yards. While I thought the staff was great and the room was nice, this hotel just had a cold and sterile feel. I noticed a lot of athletes there - the gym obviously is a big focus of this hotel. On the plus side, the room was sleek and had a great view, and the shower was amazing with very high-end products. After being told there were no tables for a drink there, we seated ourselves and carried our own drinks to the "reserved table." Very strange. The rooftop bar is a no go, as all the tables were reserved the whole time we were there, even though nobody was ever seated at the reserved tables (as a hotel guest, this was very annoying). The restaurant is nice, but it is one floor below the 25th, so again - not easy to slide in and have a drink like you would in a hotel with a lobby. Anytime you want to leave your room you are two elevator rides away. After check in you take another smaller elevator up to your room. Here are the misses: you enter the hotel from a narrow entrance into a dark elevator bank (there isn't a lobby). This hotel might be a fit for some, but for me it was missing the warmth and luxury of a five star hotel. Thank you Team Equinox for a wonderful weekend!… From Hudson Yards we leisurely walked the High Line which meanders through the Westside of the City and connects Hudson Yards with the Meatpacking District-where we were able to explore more restaurants and entertainment options. The location is outstanding, right in the middle of Hudson Yards where there are plenty of high-end restaurants (we tried Milos-Greece and Mar-Spain) and attractions (we visited the Edge and tried after-hours’ cocktails at Peakaboo). The bespoke design of the sky lobby and the guest room details redefine luxury. The sequence of experience from arrival at the hotel entrance, to the reception lobby, to the guest room, is simply breathtaking. The architectural design, extravagant amenities, and the quality of construction are all testaments to the hotel’s tremendous capacity to distinguish itself. Stunning luxury seems the specific description of this hotel. The entire hotel team was superb and extremely pleasant! The hotel management’s attention to specific details and the staff’s trained ability to provide a luxurious experience takes the Equinox Hotel to a level beyond any other in the world. From the VP of Guest Experience, Nathan Loga, to the bartender at the lounge, Gilbert, the wonderful hotel staff went beyond the highest level of expectations to make us feel special and enjoy our celebration. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by staying at the Equinox Hotel this past weekend. ![]()
